Loomis Bros Circus looks to restart

After two months of zero circus activity, Loomis Bros Circus appears set to restart traveling circuses that use and abuse animals. They have announced four performances over two days in Stoutland, Missouri. CWI has already begun notifying activists of this and seeks to rally individuals willing to protest and make calls. If you are in the region, please contact us at info@cwint.org. To keep up-to-date on all circus activity, please visit our dedicated site circusprotest.com. While there, you can sign up to receive action alerts when a circus travels to your region.

So many rodeo cancellations!

We could all use some good news during these trying times, so how about this: over 180 rodeo events have been cancelled so far this year! These include the major Cheyenne Frontier Days event, which has been running for more than 120 years, as well as Reno Rodeo, Dayton Rodeo, Cody Stampede Rodeo, Clovis rodeo, Sheridan WYO Rodeo, and the Kodiak Rodeo. We will be keeping an eye out for rodeo events that choose to take place and, as always, will attempt to work with local animal advocates to organize protests. Long-time fans of CWI will know that we protest the yearly National Finals Rodeo event in Las Vegas every December. To learn more about protesting the rodeo, visit our dedicated page wit

Circus World Cancels Live Circus Shows

With every cloud comes a silver lining...we're happy to report that Circus World will not be hosting live circus shows on their grounds this summer due to COVID-19. Every year Circus World, a circus museum located in Wisconsin, offers live circus performances with animals as a part of their summer offerings. In 2018, CWI visited Circus World and documented numerous instances of animal cruelty. The video evidence we collected during that visit led to CWI filing a complaint with the USDA on behalf of elephants Tracy and Lisa. Learn more about Circus World and what we saw there by clicking here. Get involved in the fight against circus cruelty by visiting our dedicated site circusprotest.com.
