Ringling Four Years Later
On May 21, we celebrated the four year anniversary of the end of Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus! Colorado Bans Animal Abusing Circuses!
CWI is happy to share the amazing news that the state of Colorado has banned the use of wild animals in circuses! We thank all of our Coloradan supporters who responded to our calls for action in support of the bill. Tai Passes Away
Tragically, Tai, an elephant made famous due to her numerous appearances in feature films, was reported by her captors to have passed away after a "brief illness."
Tai's owners were forced to leave California after the state passed a bill outlawing the use of injurious weapons on elephants. Bo's Story
This is Bo. Bo was born at Busch Gardens in Tampa and is presently 34 years old. He was torn away from his family at less than ONE YEAR OLD and sent to California for training under the notorious animal abuser Gary Johnson. In the wild, male Asian elephants remain with their mothers until age 16.
