Las Vegas: Speak Out Against The Tiger Tent
12/20/21 Summary of the situation: Jay Owenhouse, who owns three tigers, is attempting to come to Las Vegas with his magic show. He wants to house these tigers under a tent in the parking lot near the Strip. He is disingenuously calling the project a "sanctuary" in order to gain sympathy from the public. Betty Found with Weeping Eye in TX!
12/15/21 CWI is sad to report that, prior to going on break for the holidays, Carden International Circus continued to haul four elephants around the country including the long suffering Betty. CWI Executive Director Carrie LeBlanc personally attended the circus in El Paso, Texas in order to document the condition of the animals. As you may know, Betty suffers from possible trunk paralysis or some other ailment that causes her to leave her trunk on the ground as she walks. To

Charlotte, NC passes exotic animals in circuses ban!
12/14/2021 CompassionWorks International Board Advisor Kristen Moyer has been battling relentlessly for many years to pass a ban on the use of exotic animals in circuses in Charlotte, NC.
