56 year old elephant doing tricks in Florida.

If you love elephants, the tale of elderly Okha will completely break your heart. Okha was taken from the wild in 1970 and forced into circus life. She was subjected to the horrors of traditional circus training and has traveled and performed for decades.

Okha formerly had two companions, Kosti and Megue, but they were relocated to a zoo and a Six Flags in 2022. Since then, she has been alone without the company of any other elephants. Her owner, Brian Franzen, rents her out for circuses and events every chance he gets. Last year, with your help, CWI shut down an Okha appearance at a campground in Florida.

Have you seen photos or cartoons of elephants balancing on a ball? Okha was the last to perform that particular trick.

While she is no longer able to balance, and her ability to perform any trick continues to deteriorate, Franzen continues to exploit her.

Last year Loomis Bros Circus primarily made use of the elephant Patty, but video evidence has shown they are presently renting Okha for performances in Alabama. Tell Loomis to DITCH THE ELEPHANT ACTS AND MOVE ON to more humane forms of entertainment. Speak out!

Are you in the vicinity of Odenville, Alabama (this weekend) or Crowley, Louisiana (in March)? Contact us if you can take action against Loomis Bros Circus.

Thank you for continuing to stand with CWI in the fight against animal cruelty!
