5/28/26 Okha heads to Pennsylvania

As far as CWI is aware, Okha is the only elephant currently traveling and performing with a circus in the United States right now.
While this could change, it still represents an extraordinary milestone. When CWI first began this work, dozens of elephants were on the road every spring. Now seemingly only Okha remains — and she needs us more than ever.
Elderly Okha is still being hauled from town to town with Loomis Bros. Circus for performances and rides. At a time when circuses are ending elephant use, Okha’s continued exploitation is especially heartbreaking — and completely unnecessary.
Okha should be retired to an accredited sanctuary, not forced through more travel, rides, and performances. Yet instead of being given freedom from circuses, she remains one of the final symbols of an industry that should have ended long ago.
Now Loomis Bros. is scheduled to bring Okha to upcoming shows in Pennsylvania.
Please tell these venues not to host Loomis Bros. Circus while Okha is part of the act — and to adopt policies prohibiting future rentals involving wild or exotic animal performances.
Let's keep working to get Okha off the road!
