7/2/25 - The Prohibiting Threatened and Endangered Creature Trophies (ProTECT) Act
Rep Ted Lieu (D-CA) reintroduced the ProTECT Act on March 6, 2025. The aim of the bill is to prohibit the import of trophy hunted animal body parts (or "trophies") from animals listed as threatened or endangered under the existing Endangered Species Act. The bill would also ban the trophy hunting of certain domestic species.

6/30/25 - WRATH March For Wildlife
Last Saturday, the Worldwide Rally Against Trophy Hunting March for Wildlife took place in Birmingham, England. The March honored the 10 year anniversary of the killing of Cecil the lion and raised awareness about the continued issues regarding the domestic and international slaughter of wild animals for "entertainment."
