Sanctuary for Animals at the Mirage Las Vegas

Many in Las Vegas were shocked to learn that the iconic Mirage Hotel and Casino is being purchased by Hard Rock International and is going to be subject to numerous changes to the property. Our thoughts immediately went to the Mirage's "Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat" and the numerous animals who presently live at the Mirage property. Initial attempts to determine the fate of the animals with both Hard Rock and MGM (which owns the Mirage) have gone unanswered. The issue is further complicated by the fact that the Mirage/MGM does not own all of the animals at the Secret Habitat. CWI is demanding that ALL of the animals presently held in the Secret Garden be sent to appropriate sanctuaries. Join our protest at the Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday April 16th and stay tuned for additional actions!
