Demand the Costa Rican Government Take Action Today!

May 21, 2016

Sadly, news has been reported that Sloth Sanctuary Costa Rica is allegedly inappropriately caring for animals. Sloths have been possibly illegally bred, taken from the wilderness, not rehabilitated and kept without cause, wrongly been fed foods inappropriate to their systems, not given needed veterinary care, and used to bring in donations. The Dodo broke this story on May 19th.

CWI is taking action with a petition that is fast gaining attention. Demand that the Costa Rican government take immediate action and investigate this supposed sanctuary for the claims made against it.

We are also reaching out to other organizations and professionals to see what change can be made to immediately improve the situation for sloths housed at the "sanctuary." Please sign and share our petition today!
