CWI Takes on Kelly Miller in New England

When CWI saw that Kelly Miller intended to do an extensive tour of New England this year, we immediately reached out to dynamic local animal advocates with a simple request: "can you protest the circus?" and, we're happy to share, the resounding answer we heard was "YES!". Two precious elephants, Cindy and Jenny, have been traveling with Kelly Miller for months along with camels and ponies. Carson & Barnes Circus is off the road!

Carson & Barnes Circus posted news that was music to an animal lover's ear today by announcing that due to "unseen circumstances with additional financial burdens" they would be taking their leave of traveling for the summer. Though they claim they intend to return in the fall, this is a boon for the animals who would have been forced to travel with them throughout the summer months. As the world wakes up to the reality of circus cruelty, we'll increasingly see more and more smaller circuses taking "time out" from the road.
