So why does it still persist 77 years after the release of the film? As we reflect on 2018, we are struck by how much progress we are making against circus cruelty, but also by how far we have yet to go. Throughout this past year, CWI captured hours and hours of video documenting elephants suffering in order to provide a moment of "entertainment" to paying circus-goers. In our latest video, we share just a few glimpses of the thousands of hits, jabs, hooks, and other injuries that elephants suffer when they are confined to the traveling entertainment industry.
